Volcano Eruption
A fun and safe way to simulate a volcanic eruption using baking soda and vinegar. It's a classic for a reason!
You will need:
- Small plastic bottle
- Baking soda
- Vinegar
- Dish soap and red food coloring (optional)
- Modeling clay or play-doh
What you'll need to do:
Step 1
Place a small bottle in the center of a tray. Mold modeling clay around it to form a volcano shape.
Step 2
Add a few tablespoons of baking soda, a squirt of dish soap, and some red food coloring into the bottle.
Step 3
Pour in about half a cup of vinegar and watch your volcano erupt with fizzy 'lava'!
